Jari Wock MS CCC-SLP

  • Hello! My name is Jari Wock and I am happy to be a Speech-Language Pathologist with Prickly Pear Cooperative. I am excited for the 2020-2021 school year. This is my 6th year working for Prickly Pear Cooperative and my 10th year as a school-based SLP. I have also worked for 6 years in the medical field as an SLP. I will be continuing as the SLP at Whitehall Schools, Cardwell Elementary, Boulder Elementary, and Jefferson High School.  I also cover the Headstart programs in Whitehall and Boulder communities.  I work with students age 3 thru grade 12 and love my work! If you have speech and/or language concerns about your school-age child (age 3 years thru 12th grade) please contact me at one of the numbers below.

Some of you have chosen remote learning options and may receive services via teletherapy. Also due to school COVID policies, teletherapy may be the most appropriate service delivery model for your student who does attend school in person. We will work as a team to determine how to best meet your student's needs.

Here are some ideas to use at home with your child as well!

Read, Read, Read!  Reading helps speech & language skills by teaching vocabulary, increasing attention, providing exposure to sentence structure, answering questions, sequencing and retell practice, speech sound practice and exposure, and sharing enjoyment and conversation about a topic.

Listen eagerly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff, when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big because to them all of it has been big stuff.  - Catherine M. Wallace
