• Hello,

My name is Kate Anderson and I have been the resource teacher for the Cooperative since 2004.

I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Northern Montana College in 1981.  I received my special education endorsement from Carroll College in 2004 and finished my Masters of Education in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Montana in 2009.

I live in Helena and have two children, my son Christian who lives in Denver Colorado, and my daughter Aislinn who lives in Boston Massachusetts.

As resource teacher I provide services to Basin, Canyon Creek, East Helena preschool students, Riverside Youth Correctional Facility, Wolf Creek, as well as preschool for children with special needs located in Montana City.

I am lucky enough to work with students aged preschool through high school and enjoy my job very much.  I particularly enjoy working with the staff in the different schools - every school is so unique and different.  I love my students and also really value working closely with their families.

I am more than happy to visit with any parent who has questions regarding their child's education and to also help them navigate through the world of special education.  Feel free to call and chat!
